Public and environmental health persoective
Environmental health laws and policies are created to regulate and safeguard our environment and protect both vulnerable (children and low immunity and older people) and common people
To achieve the above - USA have Environmental protection agency and Environmental law.
NO 1. No safe blood lead level in children has been identified, and lead exposure can harm nearly every system in the body. Many states require some action to be taken when a child’s blood test shows some amount of micrograms of lead per deciliter of blood,
So….. Safe blood Lead (Pb) testing policies
No2. The United States has seen a significant increase in large-scale animal farming. One of them are concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs)
So……..Policies on CAFOs and the environmental odors they produce.
No 3. use of hazardous chemicals continues to grow and hundreds of chemicals have been identified in blood, urine, and tissues of humans , in their workplaces, schools, communities, and in drinking water and food supplies. Many recognized public health problems including cancer, cardiovascular disease asthma and obesity occur due to these pollution. Industrial worker and farmers and socially disadvantaged populations, face greater chemical exposures. Moreover, vulnerable subpopulations such as children, pregnant women, and individuals with chronic medical conditions, face increased risks from exposures.
So We should take policies regarding safe drinking water, Safe clean air, against toxic substance chemicals and also to resume environment clean the resource Conservation and Recovery policies and most importantly policies in compensation and liability also should be there for the sufferes.
