Annie ,who is a patient with a serious illness and going to survive on countable days if revealed the truth may affect her more psychologically at this point of time.There will be denial and anger which will be followed by an acceptance at the last. This can decrease her quality of life by thinking towards her death rather than trying to live better when sick.Annie also gets comfort for autonomy to make a decision on her treatment if the physician informs her condition.

Daniel will be in a grief for loss of his partner and has to undergo the depression because of her illness and face the challenges to come out of the difficult situation and help her to cope up .

The physician is acting in the principle of beneficence, trying to make an effort that the patient will have a most comfortable zone.This is a form of paternalism exhibited if in the shoes of a physician.
