Given 8mg/hr

To calculate the ml to be transfused

As 80mg=100ml

Then 8mg=??ml

Cross multiply and divide

=100×8÷80

=800÷80

=10ml

Ans:10ml/hr

46.Given

Order:KCL

Available:20mEQ in 250ml NS

Dose: 40mEq

When 20mEQ=250ml

Then 40mEQ=??ml

Cross multiply and divide

=250×40÷20

=10000÷20

=500ml

The patient is having peripheral line and the maximum infusion rate is 10mEq/hr

In 1 he =10mEq
