In the present case there is a fixed element of daily expense which the film crew must spend i.e., $3,000. This amount is being spent irrespective of number of days the shooting is done. After this, the per day expenses are fixed at $3,000. So, the geometric formula will be

Total Expense = 3,000 + (3,000 × No. of Days)

Total Expense till Day 4 = 3,000 + (3,000 × 4) = 3,000 + 12,000 = $15,000

Total Expense till Day 5 = 3,000 + (3,000 × 5) = 3,000 + 15,000 = $18,000

Total Expense till Day 6 = 3,000 + (3,000 × 6) = 3,000 + 18,000 = $21,000
