Look for more of a coding position rather than a biller or inpatient service. type tittle. Large organizations will have more specialized work. small set up might be insurance verification, coding. Answering certain wuestions and follow up for claims.

A medical coder is not unlike an investigator. There is always something new to learn. A coder needs to be extract meaning from bad hand writing. Coder will work case by case untill the shift ends
