Answer #1

ANSWER.

* Calculation of maximum daily dose of methylphenidate.

Maximum daily dose recommend for children = 2mg /kg of body weight.

Body weight of the child = 62 pounds.

Convert pound to kg for calculation

                                       1 pound = 0.454 kg.

                                       62 pound = 62 * 0.454

                                                       = 28.15 kg.

Maximum daily dose of methylphenidate for this child = 2 * 28.15

                                                          = 56.3 mg.
