At present, the health of the population is a major risk because of the diseases that is becoming more common. People are becoming more concerned regarding their health and wellness. There are many initiatives taken by the government to improve the health condition of the population and the community. Many awareness programs, health insurance, health promotion etc are introduced to provide a healthy life to the people.

Health promotion includes encouraging people to be conscious of their health and also adopt a healthy lifestyle so that they can live disease-free life. Health promotion also encourages indulgence of the physical activities so as to maintain a healthy weight and reduce the risk of obesity.

It is important that nurse should implement health promotion interventions based on the evidence-based practice as there are many benefits of evidence-based practice. It enables nurses to access the cause and diseases. The evidence-based practice includes those methods which have been previously successful to the particular disease or the intervention. So, this gives an idea and a platform to identify and manage the intervention.
