Answer #1

Answer: Wounds should not be allowed to left open to facilitate drying of excess secretion as if the wound left open then chances of infection can occurs due to bacterial influence on the skin. As an open wound can lead direct access to penetrate the skin, infection can enter to the body. The debris formed on the wound may also carry infection, so to avoid any kind of infection wound should not be left open.

The layer of the skin protects our body from foreign invaders such as bacteria, viruses from entering to our body. But in the case of wound, mostly the skin layer gets removed which abled the direct permeability to the skin. The bacteria, viruses can directly access to our body through the wound. So, it is necessary to use forceps which is sterile, to treat the wound. Wound should not be touch with the bare hand. To minimise and prevent the infection these precautions should be taken.
