Basal Body Temperature shall be recorded at the time of waking up, after having the most of the sleep. It is not useful to take BBT when she is already active. So, in the given scenario, she should record her BBT immediately after her 4 - 5 hours of sleep, starting at noon. It should be recorded while she is still lying or sitting in the bed. In the early morning, she is only getting 2 hrs of sleep from 4 am to 6am.
