So that the adequate nutrients may reaches to the fetus and it grows well.

* Mother should not smoke and drink alcohol as these both are causes to preterm labor.

* she must have to take regular treatments if she is suffering from the chronic diseases like diabetes mellitus and hypertension, thyroid diseases.

* she must have to protect from the tetanus by taking tetanus toxid vaccination.

* preventative measurements should be taken taken by mother from getting infections, by good hand washing and personal hygiene.

* mother should reduced from stress.

* inbetween each child at least 3 yrs gap must be There that means birth spacing.

Early detection is done by :

* cervical sonography to detect cervical length.

* fibronectic tests should be perform.
