In the present scenario, A study by the National Center for Health Statistics suggested that women between the ages of 20 and 29 in the United States have a mean BMI of 26.8 with a standard deviation of 7.4. Let us assume that these BMIs are Normally distributed.

Then we can assume that the Mean BMI, M=26.8

and the standard deviation is 7.4

Let assume that X represents the BMI scores. Thus we can calculate the proportion of the age group of overweight as :

Therefore we can say that 65.5% of women in this age group range are overweight
