Family nurse practitioner is a well versed role working autonomously or work along other health care practitioners to provide focused family care.There are lot of scope for this role and also you will have your independence to prescribe medications and also diagnose conditions. For FNP you should have adequate knowledge and excellency in the following areas like Nursing research methods,adult and geriatric care, family/lifespan nursing theory, family/lifespan nursing care,management of acute and chronic illnesses,socio-cultural issues, family counseling.

Additionally advanced physical/health assessment, advanced pharmacology, advanced pathophysiology courses can be very helpful to lead your role confidentially and with ease to treat the patients.

Continuing education is always necessary for every nurse graduate to stay updated with the new inventions and methodologies to successfully provide a evidenced based quality care to the families and people.
