DASH: It is an eating plan to lower Blood Pressure(BP). It is an acronym for dietary approaches to stop hypertension. The DASH combination diet has been shown to decrease the BP and so helps to prevent and control high BP. It is combination of fruits, vegetables and low fat diet foods and low saturated and total fat.

NSCC: It is health learning for youth ages 13-18.

*Health education: The health and safety of adolescent is improved when the acquire the knowledge, attitudes and skills for making health decisions, adapting health behavior and promoting health of others.

*Health services: youth are generally healthy but they can be healthier when preventive services are available in their schools.

*Counseling, psychological and social services: youth feels safer when the access the services by which they can reinforce the mental, emotional and psychological health.

* Social and emotional health: school that provide safe and supportive environment develops students more connected to their schools and are stronger academically and engage in fewer risky behavior.

*Family engagement: it is important for family to participate in students school life by supporting health services and education programs.

*Community involvement: youth are more engaged and motivated when they work on project that benefit the community. It helps to develop academic skills and healthy behavior.

CHEC : In this the teacher teaches the skills which enhances the quality of lives. Health literate, prevent disease, Maintain and improve health are the skills.

SHI: It is the self assessment and planning tool that the schools use to improve health and safety programme. It is to identify strength and weakness of health and safety programme, enhance parents teachers students and comes in promoting better health.

YRBSS: it is to measure the risky behavior of youth and adults like:

behavior that contributes injuries and violence

sexual behavior that contributes pregnancy, HIV

Alcohol

Tobacco use

Unhealthy diet

Physical inactivity etc.
