Due to the remarkable raise and advancement of technology, lots of large companies are moving forward to digitalize and virtualize how they do business internally and externally, such as virtual teams. Moreover, one of the virtual team advantages is the ability for a company to create the dream team without boundaries as it eliminates the element of desistance, core knowledge and skills limitation. With all these wonderful components there are many issues and might have a large negative impact to the whole process of creating a virtual team and working as and within a virtual team. These concerns can be outlined as the following:

  • Communication
  • Trust
  • Productivity

  1. Define each negative factor and explain why it is an issue.

Some of the major issues that world economy is facing currently, digitization is also one of it.It creates lots of opportunities as well as effect the business environment also. Some of the problems that is solely created because of digitization are as follows:

i) unemployment: Earlier jobs that were performed manually now after digitization it takes care of using AI. Therefore huge job cuts seen recent past.

ii) Lack of expertise on technology: Employees are not properly trained with these cut edge technology thus create huge impact on it's operating performance.

iii) Limited  Financial support: It require huge fund for implementation.As cost of doing business is getting higher as well as competition increasing day by day, in such situation investment on technology become a challenge for many organizations.

iv)  Lack of Overall Digitization Strategy: Without effecting current structure, implementing  Digitization is becoming a challenge for management. Several aspects are to be looked before degitization of business process like when and how it will be implemented, how much time it will require and also transition loss.

Let discuss a bit, we can not be optimistic about changes. Every changes require time to settle.So we have to be patience till we adopt it fully.Let discuss one by one how we can cover come from the above mentioned problems:

i) unemployment: Diversion of human resource towards technology is the only option by which we can solve this problem over the period of time and also steady implementation is also a way to tackle this problems.

ii) Lack of expertise on technology: Let’s be clear. You need a strategy. As you would with any part of your business, you need to clarify a vision, set goals to reach it and give your whole team a purpose. Without strategy and purpose, you may have been able to keep your head above water but don’t count on it much longer.proper training before implementation like arranging workshop for employees, workmen and also sharing vision of the organisation so that employees do not get confused.

iiii) Limited  Financial support: While the digital transformation may require new, and sometimes substantial, investments in your company, people and customers, remember this is not a race. When you build your strategy, use your budget as a reality check to see how much your company can handle. Develop a plan that involves several phases over several years.

iv) Lack of Overall Digitization Strategy: Let’s be clear. You need a strategy. As you would with any part of your business, you need to clarify a vision, set goals to reach it and give your whole team a purpose. Without strategy and purpose, you may have been able to keep your head above water but don’t count on it much longer.
