K ve care that may not fit the strict sense without any payment for that service. Should this be the responsibility of the emergency department? If not, what is the answer to caring for people who have no medical insurance and cannot afford to pay? 13

People Who do not have medical insurance and not afford to pay it does not means they can not access medical care..There is federal money for free service or reduced free care service..there is federal insurance program called medicare and medicaid for people more than 65 years and younger than 65 years with disability will have social disability insurance for 1 year,it include end stage renal disease..it pay by deductible for hospitals and other costs..it will not provide medicare supplement insurance (part D prescription plans)
Another program called medicaid ,it is state-based assistance program serve for low-income people for up to 65 years of age..it cover medical expenses but small co-payment required from patient side...
Children health insurance program(CHIP) covered the children care up to 18 years of age..it does not afford private coverage..eligibility as per income and disability based..
Health Resources and services Administration helps many people through health centers,hospitals,clinics provide care for low income people who can not afford for care..there are more federally funded health centers to provide free care for their emergency needs when they can not afford and have no medical insurance..
