Acute care facility is one where the patients are treated for any emergency cases for a short period of time.

Outpatient :

  • Stay is for a limited period of time may be for 24 hours
  • The injury is treated and the patients are sent back home
  • Investigation ordered are done after fixing an appointment by self
  • Patient are usually with mild problems and can managed in home after visit

Inpatient

  • The patient are admitted for further evaluation
  • The patients conditions may detoriate or may be unpredictable for the effectiveness of treatment.
  • All investigations are carried after being getting consent or informed to the patient or the relatives
  • A patient is treated mostly by interdisciplinary team (Doctor,nurse,allied healthcare professional )
