Answer #1

Solution:

Step 1:

Prepare the client for a central venous line.

Detrox contains large volumes and fat embolism administered through peripheral lines increases the chance of thrombophlebitis. So it is better can be administered through a central venous line.

This is an appropriate answer.

Step 2:

Blood glucose level should be monitored for every 4 hours initially. The lab values of CBC, protein, electrolytes should be administered every 24 hours. So this is not an appropriate plan of care.

Step 3:

Detrox and fat embolism can be administered one by one. No need to administer separately.

So this is not an appropriate one.

Step 4:

IV pump should be changed according to the agency policy. Detrox increased the risk of infection. So it should be changed at least every 24 hours. so this, not an appropriate one.
