Parenteral nutrition or total parenteral nutrition will be administered as a whole after mixing and cannot be given separately ,Hyperglycemia is a common complication or effect of PN administration so blood sugar as to be checked periodically as per the order and before starting the infusion.The bag has to be changed every 24 hours once.A central line is the choice for administration of PN because this can cause thrombosis of peripheral line.So prepare the client for a central venous line
