Possible ways to deal with the conflict between Abdul and Shirley are:

1. Any project should have a single leader. When more persons are given same responsibilities surely conflicts may arise.

2.  Both of them should made to talk to remove the misunderstanding .Then this can be discussed in a company meeting with their higher authority.

3. Shirley has many projects ,so it would be advisable to relieve her from the project or she should be relieved from some other projects ,so she can concentrate on this project.

4. Responsibilities of Shirley and Abdul should be clearly defined , so that they work accordingly by sharing their responsibilities and not interfering in works of each other. It should be made clear to other team members that Shirley and Abdul are the project managers of concerned project.

5. Abdul should prove that he is capable for the project leadership to Shirley , as she thinks he is not competent for the job.

6. Lack of communication between Shirley and Abdul also may be a reason for conflict . So they both should be made to communicate for better understanding . Being a project manager , main managerial skill is good communication, so both should be made to develop good communication strategy.
