Answer: There are major threats to the workplace safety. Some of the threats are:

  • Physical threats that is also known as physical hazard which can take place at anytime during the work. For example: Working in an extreme weather or temperature, exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
  • Chemical hazard: It happen when people are working where there is risk of chemical spill, or smell. For example: risk of developing lung cancer, fumes from the toxic substances.
  • Biological hazard: This occurs when people come in contact with the other diseases person. This causes increase in the risk of transmission of diseases. For example: bodily fluids etc.
