Ethics is a systematic study of right and wrong conduct in situations that involves issues of values and morals. It us a formal process for making logical and consistent moral decisions. Ethics answers the question "what should I do in a given situation?. Ethics uses specific rules, theories and principles and perspectives to inquire into the justification of an individual actions in a particular situation. Ethics is rooted in the legal system and reflects the political values of a system. However it is important to realize that ethics is not the same as law, religion, institutional practices or customs.
