A common chronic health issue that addresses when work with the patients is hypertension. Hypertension is another name for high blood pressure. It can lead to severe complications and increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and death.

Acute causes of high blood pressure include stress, but it can happen on its own, or it can result from an underlying condition, such as kidney disease. Unmanaged hypertension can lead to a heart attack, stroke, and other problems. Lifestyle factors are the best way to address high blood pressure.

Home monitoring can help you keep tabs on your blood pressure, make certain your lifestyle changes are working, and alert potential health complications. Blood pressure monitors are available widely and without a prescription.

In the most basic sense, blood pressure is a way of measuring how much force is being exerted on the walls of your blood vessels (artery) as blood flows through them.
