Answer #1

Some of the challenges on this new orientation phase are

  • One of the challenges is the cultural barrier to promote a healthy lifestyle on the populations. Most of U.S population are immigrants having a different language and low literacy rate limits health education practices by the health care professionals.
  • Health care delivery system focused on patient-centered care. So patient autonomy also limits the promotion of healthy behavior.
  • promoting equality among all patients without considering an individual cultural background is another challenge.
  • Socioeconomic factors limit the health prevention activities on the individuals and the population.
  • Lack of coordination of clinical care team makes the existing system incompetent.
  • Medical education and training system is still incompetent in attaining the need for health promotion activities.
