Answer #1

The patient protection and affordable care act ( PPACA ) was brought by former President Obama dated on March 23, 2010.This act has increased the amount of health insured people which in turn needs more nurses and doctors for treatment. As a result shortage of nurses and other healthcare professionals increases and workload for nurses also increases.

As there is increased demand for health professionals, nurse practitioners are very much needed as they can independently treat patients to decrease the burden on doctors. More primary care nurses and geriatric nurses are needed as the population mostly comprises of geriatrics. Being a nurse ,I would like to study pediatrics specialization in nursing, but due to shortage I may be forced or need to end up studying geriatric nursing , general nursing.
