Ofcourse yes. The United State is a country with high healthcare expenditure but always stay behind when compared to other countries quality of care and life expectancy. There is no universal healthcare system and the healthcare is delivered through a mixed method of both private and public systems. Moreover, the United States healthcare system ranks last among other wealthy countries and performs worst in areas of cost of care, efficiency, equity and overall health of its citizens. They spends more on healthcare and also have highest proportions of specialist physicians. Many surveys have been conducted and because of lack of universal coverage to the people of USA, the people get lack of quality healthcare and because of high cost there was a problem with access and disparities on healthcare delivery system. To reduce these effects on healthcare, President Barack Obama signed a law called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in March 2010. The main objective of this reform is to reduce health care costs and to correct health disparities in healthcare access and quality. Also, people who were uninsured before the law should also informed to have an insurance plan. So, all these brings a change in the healthcare system of America through a universal coverage healthcare system. Hence, it can also able to reduce disparities on healthcare and can have easy accessibility and quality care.
