Statement of the problem : A Comparative study to assess the knowledge regarding Anorexia Nervosa Among Rural and urban adolescent girls.

* Research hypothesis :

There will be a significant relationship inbetween the knowledge levels of rural and urban adolescent girls regarding anorexia nervosa.

There will be a significant association between knowledge levels and socio demographic variables of rural and urban adolescent girls regarding anorexia nervosa.

* Materials and methods :

Non experimental comparative descriptive research design was used.

* Suggest further studies :

1. A comparative study canned conduct between the rural and urban adolescent girls and boys regarding anorexia nervosa.

2. Effective ness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding anorexia nervosa among adolescent girls.

* Back ground information :

Anorexia nervosa is the most commonest chronic illness among adolescent girls. It is lack of desire to eat. It is an intense fear of becoming fat.

* Collect data :

Data collection done by using of structured interview schedule.

* Analysis of the study data :

By using "t" test and Chi square test.

Through the frequency and percentage distribution.

that is through descriptive and inferential statistics.

* Interpretation of results :

Graphs and charts.

* Conclusion of the study :

The results showed that there was significant association between level of knowledge with selected demographic variables among rural and urban adolescent girls.
