Esophagitis : inflammation and infection of the esophagus called as esophagitis.
Pathogenesis :
* Due to any etiological factors that are obesity, or increased gastric volume,
* there is a abnormal lower esophageal sphincter functioning,
* there is no proper closing of the sphincter while excess gastric secretions,
* regurgitation or returning of the gastric secretions frequently leads to inflammation and infection of the gastric mucosal, and esophageal mucos.
* due to acidity of secretions,
* it leads to heart burn, nausea, vomiting ect.
This is the Pathophysiology of the esophagitis.
