Since many healthcare clinics have implemented the electronic medical records, patients are feeling ignored during their appointments due to the healthcare providers and employees focusing on their computers rather than the patient. What has your experience been when seeing your healthcare providers?

Do you feel that all the employees are focusing more on the computer than they do on the patient? Give an example of your experience. (But please do not name the clinic or providers in your discussions.) How would you remedy this situation?

Answer #1

Answer: The use of the Advanced technology in the healthcare system provides a platform for the healthcare professionals to deliver quality of care to the patients.

I didn't find anything like that the employees are focusing on the computer than they do on patients because the implementation of EHR has provided opportunity to save time. It provides a storage where all the information regarding patient's health care treatment as well as history can be saved. It can easily obtained whenever it is necessary. So, it saves time and reduces the risk of loss of information and medical errors
