Please need help with the below question.Thank you. Public health ethics, as a relatively new field of study, is receiving much scholarly and professional attention as public health professionals continue to deal with numerous developing ethical issues such as bioterrorism, emerging infectious disease, chronic disease epidemics, marijuana, and responses to influenza pandemics (just to name a few). To address such ethical issues, reports have shown that there is a crucial need for public health practitioners to develop and hone basic competencies related to public health ethics and understand the analytic and imaginative processes that encompasses the ongoing efforts to specify the importance of public values, support from scientific research, while also trying to ensure public consensus about public health action and law (Goodman et al., 2007). It is particularly important that public health professionals have an understanding of ethical evaluation when choosing from potentially numerous public health options that may have the strongest weights or value within the community. Overall, public health ethics involves the systematic and ongoing professional discourse related to balancing the individual and societal interests while also justifying public health interventions based on what is considered right or just for health and social welfare (Goodman et al., 2007; Shi & Johnson, 2014). With this in mind, what do you feel are the central ethical values underlying the practice of public health and what role do they play in program delivery, quality, and effectiveness? Do you feel that justification is crucial for ethical decision-making in public health? Why or Why not?
