Drip factor is = 15 gtts/mL

Means, 1 mL = 15 gtts

The flow rate is = 15 gtts/ml * X ml/ 60 min = 38 gtts/min

(where, X = the number of mL to be delivered in one hour or 60 minutes)

X = 38 gtts/min * 60 min / 15 gtts

X = 152 mL per hour

Thus, the patient receives 152 mL/hour.
