Pediatric dose of cefadroxil is 30 mg /kg/day

The child was given 2 tablespoons = 10 ml (1 tsp = 5 ml)

Each 5 ml contains 125 mg of cefadroxil, the child was given 125 \times 2 = 250 mg

The child weight is = Total dose \div dose per kg body weight

                               = 250mg \div 30mg = 8.33 kgs

To convert kgs to lbs we must multiply with 2.2

                           = 2.2 \times 8.33

                           = 18.32 lbs (can be rounded to 18 lbs)

The child weight is 18 pounds.
