Answer #1

a.safe dose

The safe dose for adults are 200 mg on first day as two divided doses followed by a maintainance dose of 100mg/day

In children weighing leads than 100 pounds 2mg/lbs/day in two divided doses followed by 1mg/lb in two doses a day

b.weight :36.6kg

1kg=2.205lbs

So 36.6 kg=??

36.6×2.205=80.7

Ans:80.7 pounds

c.SD for 80.7 pounds

Given if child is less than 100 pounds then the dose should be 2mg/lb

So 80.7lb= 161.4 (80.7×2) on first day in two divided doses

Maintainane dose 1mg/lb

80.7×1=80.7lbs

The SD on day one is 161mg/day and SD for maintainace therapy is 80.7mg/day

d.This is a safe dose

e.Here 5ml=50mg

So 161.4mg=??

=16.14 or 16ml (161.4×5÷50) first day dose in two divided doses, so 8ml/dose

For maintainance dose

80.7kg=??

8.07 or 8ml (80.7×5÷50) in two divided doses that is 4ml /dose
