QITs (Quality improvement teams ) are constituted to analyze the existing processes as well as recommendations for intradepartmental improvement for the service line , generally established by the unit manager of that unit. They analyze processes that are internal to the unit. These recommendations from the cross-functional QITs can be considered by the manager and implemented accordingly without the need for review by more senior management.
