BUBBLE HER is acronym used to postpartum women to check her health status. It's full form as below

B- Breast assessment:- check for soft or filled. Examine for engorgement,redness, pain , abnormal nipple like cracked, inverted, ulcerated etc. Promote breast feeding.

U- uterine fundus: Assess for fundal height, consistency is it firm or boggy. It should be below umbilicus after delivery. 1cm should be involuted per day. At 10th day it remains as pelvic organ.

B- Bladder function:- check for last urine pass out, urinary retention etc

B- Bowel function :-check for low bowel movements, bowel sounds, hemorrhoids, constipation, diarrhea

L- Lochia: check for color, consistency, amount, smell and presence of clots

E- Episiotomy: check for REEDA(Redness, edema, Ecchymosis, Discharges and approximation of wound edges)

H- Homan's sign: check for positive Homan's sign to detect DVT earlier

E- Emotional status: check for sleep deprivation, anxiety levels, depression, ability to work

R- Rho Gam or other immunization: It is for mother with Rh- negative given birth to Rh+ . Anti D should be taken within 72 hours. Check for it.
