Due to the severe infection in lungs patient may have altered mental status and delirium.you should ask about his personel history about his name,address,parents name and jobs etc.through this you can access the memmory and coginitive ability of the patient.place the patient a comfortable bed and start infusions according to doctors order.start antubiotic to reduce infection.provide safety meaures to prevent falling and promote safety.give psychological support to the parents.
