#. Community Nurse managed center /service :-

- Hours of operation -24×7

- Hiring of staffs will be totally based upon the interview and practical skills .

- Services provided are basic care to the patient , emergency services , transfusion services , dressing services etc .

#. Nursing roles in prevention of infection :-

- use of personal protective equipment

- handwashing

- maintaining hygiene

- vitals assessment

- provision of antibiotics for infection

- following universal precautions while providing care

#. Three levels of prevention are :-

- Primary Prevention

Actions that change overall background conditions to prevent some unwanted event or circumstance, such as injury, disease, or abuse.

- Secondary Prevention

Activities directed toward early diagnosis and prompt intervention, thereby lessening the severity of a condition and enabling the client to return to the highest level of health at the earliest possible point.

- Tertiary Prevention

Actions, such as immediate and effective medical treatment, that are taken after an adverse event such as illness or injury occurs, and are aimed at reducing the harm or preventing disability.

Activity aimed at restoring the individual to the highest possible level of health and functioning.
