Health information technology influence the current nursing practice by

        * Computerized health records or electric health recording system reduce

          the time required for documentation of patient health information so it give

          enough time for nurses to provide care for all assigned patients.

       * It enhance the coordination care by connecting all health care providers like

         nurses,physicians,pharmacists,lab workers etc through exchange of information

         with the help of a computer network.

       * Implementation of electric health recording system reduce the common nursing

         documentation related medical errors.

       * It helps to nurse to inform the physician who is not available in the patient care unit

         about health related updates of a critically ill patient through clinical information system.

       * It makes the nurses to ensure safety of patient health information using unique username

         and passwords in a computer based patient record.

     * If a patient Arterial blood gas report is arrived and physician is not available in the
