1. Being a health care worker ,if I know a person who is at risk of contracting HIV . I would teach them the preventive methods to avoid it from acquiring because it's a deadly disease and causes a lot of stigma .
2. As a health care worker we can reduce the risk of transmission of HIV in the following ways :-
- Avoid sex with multiple partners
-Avoid unprotected sex
-Proper and consistent use of condoms
-Avoid recreational IV drug use
-Avoid drug use
-Observe universal blood and body fluid precautions
-Breast feeding when infected is contraindicated
