Answer: It is necessary to maintain skin integrity and nurse should be concerned regarding this because:

  • Skin intact and moisturizer provides the skin nourishment and hence prevent from infections.
  • Prevention of pressure ulcer.
  • Skin prevent from invansion of micro organism.

The three types of infections that are mainly concerned with the skins are:

  • Impetigo
  • Cellulite
  • Folliculites.

Those patients who has burn, the care is done according to the level or the degree of the burn. It is categorized into first, second and third degree. If there is third degree of burn then the patients requires intensive care as near about 60℅ of the skin gets damaged.
