- Cooperate strategies:

It is based on the mission and goals of the organization and the roles each business unit will play. There are three types of corporate strategies: Growth, Stability, or Renewal. (Top-managers implement these strategies.

- Competative strategy: An organizational strategy for how an organization will compete in its business(es). An effective strategy requires an understanding of competitive advantages: resources or abilities which set an organization apart; its distinctive edge. (Quality, and design thinking can both be competitive advantages.)

- Functional strategy - organizational plans prepared for various functional areas of a company's organizational structure. Functional strategies can be part of overall corporate strategy or serve as separate plans of strategy cascading/implementation within a functional area.
