Answer #1
  • The medical term for shortness of breathe or lack of breathe is dyspnea. It is the difficulty in getting in enough air to breathe. The heart and lungs support the transport of oxygen to the body and removes carbon dioxide.Brain regulates the breathing process. Breathing is a.complex reaction between the chemicals in the blood and in the inhaled air. If the level of carbondioxide in the blood rises, the brain commands the body to increase the breathing rate that results in deeper or faster breaths  which leads to shortness of breathe. This is only one cause for shortness of breathe, some other risk factors include :
    • Muscle weakness
    • Low haemoglobin levels
    • Obesity
    • Asthma
    • Abnormal heart functioning
