1. Communication - improving communication by :-

- reducing noises and distractions

- use of easy to understand words and simple sentences

- being loud and audible

- speaking clearly and fluently in simple terms

2. Nutrition - promote adequate nutrition by :-

- keeping mealtimes simple and calm

- avoiding confrontation

- cutting foods into small pieces to prevent choking

- conversion of liquids to gelatin for easy swallowing

- offer a single dish at a time

- serving lukewarm food to avoid burns

3.Hygiene - promote self care by :-

- simplifying activity of daily living

- maintaining patients personal dignity and autonomy

- encourage patient to participate in self care activities

- helping the patient to do daily activities

- maintenance of cleanliness

4. Memory loss - supporting cognitive function by :-

- providing a calm environment

- avoiding distraction to maintain concentration

- provide one task at a time

- no multitasking

- keeping explanations simple ,clear

- use of memory aids and cues
