Number of people unemployed Unemployment rate = - Civilian labor force

Civilian labor force = Number of employed + number of unemployed

Number of unemployed = 1,000,000 - 800,000 - 50,000 - 10,000 = 140,000

Civilian labor force = 800,000 + 140,000 = 940,000

140000 Unemployment rate = 940000 X 100

Unemployment rate = 14.89%
