1. Binge eating disorder is a type of disorder in which an individual develops an urge to eat food in a large quantity. It is characterized by the uncontrollable eating and resulting in the weight gain. This condition is a very serious type of eating disorder where the people tends to eat a large amount of food while they feel a loss of control over their eating habit.

Causes:

This condition is developed in order to cope with:

- depression

- stress

- anxiety

This condition is somewhat similar to that of bulemia nervosa but in this condition the patient does not tend to induce vomiting or use laxative to empty the content of stomach.

Clinical manifestations:

- eating abnormally large amount of food

- being unable to control on what and how they are eating

- eating untill uncomfortably full

- eating in abnormal speed

- eating alone because of embarrassment with the amount of food taken

- feeling of disgust, depressed and anger due to over eating

- frequent dieting done

Effects:

- abnormal increase of weight

- feeling of low self esteem

- loss of sexual desire

- frequent dieting

Treatment:

The patients with binge eating often tend to hide their problems due to embarrassment from the world so the treatment is very difficult for such people. Hence it is very much important to give a proper education to the younger generations about the issues of eating disorders and provide support to control it.

The treatment includes various different therapies such as:

- psychotherapy: provided in order to change the thinking of an individual

- medication: such as stimulating drug like Vyvanse

- group and family Therapy in order to help and support the patient

Complications:

- diabetes mellitus

- hypertension

- high cholesterol

- gall bladder disease

- heart disease

2. The eating disorders are very much increased in present condition and many new conditions have been newly discovered. One of such condition which is recently discovered and have been identified as one of the most affecting condition is binge eating. In present scenario presence of such condition is very common because the present generations are very weak psychologically as well as physically and have very weak will power which makes them very prone on getting stress, anxiety and depression etc leading to get many psychological conditions. The trend of various different social media picturing and modelling has also influenced this condition in females for getting good figures and popularity etc
