Answer #1

A theory is an interrelated concept which represents an organized way of understanding events, behaviors and situations. It is important for nurses to believe in theories because theory and practice are complement to each other. A theory is an idea or a thought about what will happen in the future and practice is something that makes us to do in action. In short, these can be tell as an idea between your thoughts and predictions and what occurs in practice. Moreover, theories are theoretical and practice are practical. Together in action they produce an effective outcome. So, in nursing, theories into practice helps them to generate further knowledge. These explains their role in practicing quality care to the patients.

It is better to support and follow evidence based research practices. Because the decisions are made under the clinical experience and patient expectations to improve the patient outcomes. It also helps to improve nursing care.
