Answer #1

ANSWER.

1) Calculation of amount of haloperidol required.

       Formula = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

     Here

          Desired dose = 10 mg.

          Dose in hand = 5 mg.

               Quantity = 15 ml.

As per above formula

    Amount(ml) of haloperidol required = 10 / 5 * 15

                                                             = 2 * 15

                                                             = 30 ml.

2) Calculation of amount of medication required.

            Formula = Desired dose/ Dose in hand * Quantity.

       Here

            Desired dose = 300 mg.

            Dose in hand = 0.5 gm (500 mg).

                 Quantity = 1 ml.

As per above formula

      Amount(ml) of drug required = 300 / 500 * 1

                                                     = 0.6 ml.

3) Calculation of amount(ml) of drug required.

         Formula = Desired dose/Dose in hand * Quantity.

     Here

             Desired dose = 10 mg.

             Dose in hand = 4 mg.

                Quantity = 1 ml.

As per above formula

       Amount of medication required = 10/4 * 1

                                                         = 2.5 ml.

                                                         = 3 ml.
