Answer #1

Answer: The Nurses need not be guilty bystander as this article involves regarding the care provided to the immigrants. Due to diversity in the population, there are also cultural differences. The care provided to these people or culturally different patients makes nurse to get in the delimma sometimes. In some of the cases these patients suffers from discrimination due to their race, ethnic group etc. Nurses need to take a roper action and should also provide culturally competence environment to the patients. Nurses should not be guilty bystander as they should make themselves more familiar with the culture.

To advocate vulnerable populations, it is necessary to understand the traditional value and their belief. Providing them proper care, making them understand the procedure if any or the teaching and plan of care. It is also important to know that the people have understood things more clearly.

The examples of vulnerable populations are:

  • indigenous peoples
  • Refugee
  • Women and children.

The RAM ( remote area mobile) was founded by Stan Brock. It includes the free clinic for the patients that is mobile and provide care regarding dental, vision etc. It is performed by the non profit provider.
