1, We are Native Americans. It affected our life chances in many
ways. We are indigenous American formers from the poorest community
in the US. social class in the unites states is a controversial
issue. US government did very less for native Americans and we
received minority treatment, went for treatment hundreds of miles
away. We often suffered from mental illness, alcoholism, and
suicide due to our economic background. Due to unemployment,
poverty, less education government agency stopped our chances and
our life expectancy decreased. Due to inadequate insurance,
governemtn policy, hopsital services our social class had suffered
from a communicable disease, diabetes it increased the death rate
among us. There is a high level of violence and there were a lot of
environmental problems, poor housing, inadequate clothing, diet,
etc. we lost out occupational chances, out children studies in
public school, they are poor in English. The government cut the
funding it made the education threatened. Due to poverty,
dispossession and drug abuse, there was a high crime rate and
violence. we lack a safe home, indoor water supplies, home health
care, and long term care. native Americans had no cultural and
religious freedom and restriction on worship and there are racial
discrimination issues. It made it harder to achieve our life goal
by adopting habits of civilized life in modern US society.
