Answer #1

Grape seed extracts are rich in Vitamin C & E as well as antioxidants (flavonoids) all of which are known to revitalize the skin. It also protects the skin from harmful ultraviolet Ray's and free radicals leading to formation of wrinkles, dark spots & cancer in turn affecting skin texture.

Three rules should be followed before assessing the scientific efficacy of a product: The product should be

1. Well characterized

2. Well defined physiological benefits

3. Cause and effect realtionship between food intake and human health.

To check the clinical safety, efficacy and feasibility of grape see extracts on ageing parameters, I will conduct

a. Experimental study

b. Population - two groups of rats each having 20 rats( group A and group B)

c. Sampling technique- convenience sampling

d. Study time - 1month

e. Age parameters for skin to measures effectiveness- wrinkles, skin elasticity, hydration and acne.

These parameters will show the comparison between experimental group( application of grape seed extract ) & control group ( no product will be used) for a period of 1 month. Then clinical safety, efficacy and feasibility will measured through age parameters mentioned.
