According to Immanuel Kant's theory(1724-1804), right or wrong actions does not depends on the consequences but on whether they fulfil our duty. He believed that there is a supreme principle of morality & referred to it as the categorical imperative. He established metaphysics of morals based on the idea that rationality drives morality. His categorical imperative is still seen by many philosophers as a philosophically sound measure of discussing and establishing moral decisions. It has got three sections:
1. Establish basic understanding to think morally.
2. There is a logical, metaphysical morality that can be discovered through reason and rationality.
3. Acting morally is the same as freedom of action.
